It was cool in Tucson yesterday morning. The rain had created a small pocket of early morning cool air and I decided to get on board. I put on my walking shoes and went to my beloved Sabino canyon – it had been too long in the Arizona summer and this was going to be fun.
I walked past my usual stopping point, right after the big hill, the weather was nice and the green was bright. I kept walking all the way to stop four, I was feeling cool in the early morning shade of the canyon walls. Beginning my walk back, I started to think about angels. I thought especially of Michael and the different things I had heard about this angel, he had even spoken through Edgar Cayce a few times.
Behind me I heard a greeting and I saw it was a runner I had seen many times in the past twenty years when walking the canyon in the morning. This guy is always friendly to everyone, he usually calls me “young lady” and that always makes me smile. He likes to bump fists and keep running spreading joy, you are lucky to see him. Yesterday I said – “stop for a minute”, I told him how much I have noticed him over the years and thanked him for how much joy he puts out there. He said he appreciated it very nonchalantly, then asked for a hand slap to pump him up for the rest of the run.
As he ran away, another walker called out to him – “Hi Michael! Have a good one!”
I stopped in my tracks. A memory flooded me. Many years ago when I lived in the Washington DC area I had seen a man at a party. This guy was not just a large man, he was HUGE in an athletic looking way. I said to my date that this guy should consider a career in football. He looked at me and later we went in room to watch a news show – that same man was a famous Washington Redskin NFL player and had just been stopping by the party on his way to do his sports news update.
What does that have to do with Michael? – well – do I have to spell it out for you?
